Disneys Vero Beach Resort is one location to consider when planning family beach vacations. This resort is part of the Disney Vacation Club and is located on the Atlantic Coast of Florida.
The rooms range from standard to studio, one, two, and three bedroom units. It is always nice to find something that can accomodate a large group of people. The larger units also have full kitchens which is great for preparing meals.
The best part is the service. The Mouse is known for catering to the customer. But the parks can get very expensive so this is a way for families to enjoy Disney vacations that are affordable but are not at the Magic Kingdom theme park. Read: no park admission tickets required! The pools are fabulous and the Florida sun is included!
Apparently there are board games to "rent" for free for bad weather days. And the advantage over a standard hotel is that a resort like this offers a lot of activities. Again - perfect for the days that the weather does not cooperate. The kids club is a wonderful option if mom and dad need a little break. And most children love the clubs so much that it is hard to get them to leave. Imagine that!
If there is availability then I think that the resort is open to the general public and not just Disney Vacation Club Members but you can make a quick call to the hotel to confirm that.
Just writing about the sun and sand makes me ready to leave this cold New England winter and head for warmer locations.
